Meet the team
Our Dive Action team is friendly and ready to assist you with all your diving enquiries. Each of the services we offer is led by an experienced and well qualified member of staff. Most of us are diving instructors and all marine enthusiasts. We are all passionate about what we do!
Over 20 Years with Padi
Visit our PADI 5 Star Dive Centre to see our professional dive shop; dive school and lecture facility, large air compressor with air, oxygen and helium banks (we are able to fill cylinders with normal air, enriched air and trimix); a fully equipped workshop for servicing; and check out our own fully equipped dive boat (able to carry twelve divers plus crew).

Barry Bey-Leveld
Barry is well reputed in the diving industry and an active technical diver. He has trained many students and has a vast number of dives logged. If not in the water, he is probably hiking or climbing a big mountain (see the 7 Summits!) Qualifications include Tech Instructor Trainer (IANTD) and Commercial Boat Skipper. Barry plays a key role in advising u/w photographers on their equipment needs. He is an expert in the field of Marine Electronics and brings prestige to our Service Centre. His favourite dive site is Truk Lagoon in the Central Pacific but he can often be found in the deeper waters around our coast.

Sarah T. Carter
Sarah is well known and respected in the diving industry. She has many years of training, diving and instructing under her belt. Currently she is a life-guard with her son at Big Bay and enjoys all water sports. Qualifications include being a PADI Instructor and IANTD Tech Instructor and she is a Commercial Boat Skipper. Her favourite dive site is the Lusitania at Bellows Rock off Cape Point.
Admin
Maryka Pace
Maryka joined us in 2014 and works in the Dive Action office with the hefty paperwork load and accounts. Although she is more likely to be found doing beach control rather than diving, she is considering coming for a pool session or deeper swim! Maryka is well versed in Pastel and accounting. She deals with the day to day finance and important admin tasks of the company. If you need paper work, she is the person to contact!
Instructor
Steven Collins
Steve is well liked instructor and a keen leader in the diving industry. He has been diving over 12yrs, trained hundreds of divers and logged over 2500 dives. He can be found underwater even on his day off! Qualifications include doing his PADI Instructor course on Koh Toa (Thailand). He received the PADI Elite Instructor Award in 2014 and 2015. His favourite dive sites are The Edge of Reason next to The Cliffs of Insanity in the Quirimbas Archipelago of Mozambique and The SS Maori off Hout Bay. Qualifications include being a PADI Instructor and IANTD Tech Instructor and she is a Commercial Boat Skipper. Her favourite dive site is the Lusitania at Bellows Rock off Cape Point.
